Welcome back AJAXWorkspace. It has been almost 4 months time AJAXWorkspace didn’t post update to this blog. Please do not get us wrong we are stop our development and research work. Instead, we are engaged during this period to push and improve our product with more comprehensive feature. We never stop our thinking and passionate, and always strive hard to allow you to enjoy the most complete online collaboration and project management service from us.

Just a quick recap what are the most important feature has been accomplished by us during these 4 months back?

• Task planning - Task planning allows user to view the current project task status. It lists down each task by project milestone, task status, responsible owner and the availability for each resource. Task planning can be viewed by monthly basis or bi-yearly basis. AJAXWorkspace deeply believe this planning overview functionality can help our users in certain level to manage their daily task more efficiently.
• Document versioning – As promised by AJAXWorkspace, we always listen and response to our world wide user. This functionality already brought to you by AJAXWorkspace, which provide user with more flexibility to management their online document.
• Document ownership – Document creator can assign the document ownership to either other individual project member or project members. This allows other users to share the same document right and do any necessary amendment if found out the document posted not correct.

AJAXWorkspace already came out a fully development plan in 2009, and yet we are not lack of innovative ideal to proceed further. Let’s stay tune, we promise will let you see why we can make the difference.

Today, we release our latest version 1.1.5. The new release includes major changes such as UNICODE support and task enhancement. Previously, users can’t save any Unicode character such as Chinese character. From now onwards, users are allowed to do so.   Besides, we also enhanced task’s audit log. User no longer required to put their timestamp when enter any comments. Timestamp will automatically append in the comment. Type of action also recorded according to user’s action. This feature provides maximum reliability on the task comment and action done by its respective users.

On the usability issue, we include the navigation menu to let user access to their page with fewer clicks. Additional filter also added to task, file and document module to ease user when searching a specific records.

We hope these enhancements can improve our services to provide better functionality to our users. More enhancements and new features are coming soon in our next release. Stay tune!

Yesterday was really a great day for AjaxWorkspace because we have finally hit yet another major milestone after few weeks of hardwork. Our homepage which is www.ajaxworkspace.com has had a brand new look and security level has been implemented on tasks and documents module. So, stick with us as we will assure you more surprises in the future. AjaxWorkspace - We Team Up The World!

Thanks to all the supports given by our users worldwide, our homepage www.ajaxworkspace.com is now standing at Page Ranking 4. Hope we can get your continuos support and hope you enjoy using our service.

Recently, we are busy developing, testing and enhancing the security features which we mentioned in my last post. The release date was delay because we hope to minimize the bugs as much as possible.

Meanwhile, we also added new “who’s online” feature which allow user to view who are the members that currently online. The first big thing that we are working on is revamping our existing public website in to a more informative portal. The new portal will allow user to direct access to Corporate Workspace and Individual Workspace via single login screen. User can find out quickly what ajaxworkspace is and how it can help them in their daily work. We had also consolidated previous FAQ’s question in to a new section called “Knowledge Base”. A new support ticket system also implements to support existing user if they can’t get any help from our knowledge base. 3 types of solutions were introduced to fit everyone’s needs. Meanwhile, we are targeting to launch our paid services in June to full fill our user’s requests. The free package will still exist and free to all users. However, paid services will allow user to have more space storage and user accounts in their workspace. We will release the more details plan in the future.

~We Team Up The World!~

We received some feedback from users regarding security features in ajaxworkspace. We implemented simple security sicne day one AjaxWorkspace launched. This means that only workspace owner or project owner got extra rights to perform certain action like add/remove members and change prokect settings. They are no security features apply to documents, task, events and file. This means that everyone can access the project will able to access all their content. Now, users are asking more. Yes, they need to have security control over each item in documents, tasks, event, etc. 

After reviewing and proper planning, we decided to add the security features! We are now doing SIT withing our team. Hoepfully, it will be release by end of this month or latest ealry april. Stay tune!�

Our vision is to see a world which can communicate, work and collaborate in the most efficient way.  With this, it means information is stored securely in an online workspace which consists of an integrated suite of simple and easy-to-use collaboration functionalities. Information can now be available to everyone at anytime and anywhere around the world.

Changes of mindset will be the utmost preconditions for our goal to be achieved. • Teachers in schools or universities can easily search and retrieve information since online workspace can stored all knowledge base information in a centralize manner. 
• Teachers, clubs and societies can utilize online workspace to manage and keep track of an event’s progress such as the tasks assigned and everyone will be aware of their own responsibility. 

• No more emails and verbal communications when comes to task assignment. Every task can be specifically assigned with clear description, status and history logs for tracking purpose.
• All project information, customer information, project deadlines, important dates and resource are organized and managed in one central location. 

• Employee can utilize task management module to replace their daily business activities. E.g. Employee can use Leave Application Task when apply for leave. They can submit their application online and the task will auto route to their superior for further approval. Once approved, it will auto route to HR for further processing. This can save a lot of resources and time compare to the traditional ways.
• Every formal and informal task assigned to an employee can be tracked easily via task management. All tasks assigned to the employee will be shown in their task list. They only need to response to the task once it was done. The task will then auto route to the respective user if necessary.  Other parties too can keep track of the task status easily via the online workspace.
• Information can now be shared without geographical constraints. Sharing of big file is no longer an issue as file can be shared and uploaded to the online workspace. Besides, the online workspace will now be the central location to store events, news, announcements and customer or supplier information.
• Top management can easily keep track the project status and utilization of every resource since tasks are assigned in a centralized workspace.
